Location
The HEAD REGULATOR site is situated on the left bank saddle of Ukai Reservoir Project, near Ukai Songadh Taluka, Surat District.

The works executed under the project are:
1. Construction of Masonry/Concrete non overflow dam.
2. Construction of Energy Dissipation System for Canal Flow
3. R. C. C. Conduit, Control Well, Silt Pocket.
4. Approach Channel in deep hard rock cutting works.
5. Construction of Coffer Dam

The estimated cost of the Project was Rs. 87.00 Lacs. (Year 1987-88)

The estimated cost of the package is Rs. 412.49 Lacs. (Year 2002-03).

Project Duration
18 Months

Project is taken up under Sardar Sarovar Narmada Project (A big hydropower project). The lined minors are provided for Irrigation to minimize water losses in conveyance of Irrigation channels.
