Earthwork for Development of Salt Works

Location
The Salt work site is situated near village Kob Chikhali, of Una Taluka, Junagadh District for Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd.

The works executed under the project are:
1. Construction of salt farms near Sea Creek with earthen bunds of High banking.
2. Construction of internal roads with brine inlets and internal roads.
3. Providing pitching work for protection.
4. Pump House in the Sea creek.

Project Cost
The estimated cost of the Project was Rs. 87.00 Lacs. (Year 1987-88)

Project is for production of salt closing large sea water creeks for Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd. (Gujarat).

Restoration & Strengthening of Existing Earthen Embankment on the
banks of River Tapi near Village Ved Package-9.

Location
The work site is situated near Village Ved on River Tapi In the Surat City (Gujarat State), 280 km away from Ahmedabad for protection of Surat City.

The works executed under the project are:
1.Restoration & Raising of Earthen Bund just on the bank of river Tapi.
2.Soil Stabilization with lime and Fly Ash.
3.U.V. stabilized Poly propylene Geo-Fabric filter.
4.Bank Protection with Zinc+ PVC coated Wire mesh stone filled gabions.

Project Cost
The estimated cost of the Project is Rs. 1371.52 lacs. (Year 2006-07)

15 Months

Project is for protection of Surat city, for the Narmada, Water Supply, Water Resources & Kalpsar Department of Government of Gujarat, using Stone filled Zinc+ PVC Coated Gabions and Geo-Fabric materials.
